Stages (lost to time)

watched a show a couple days ago about lions that was talking about how by 2020 lions would be extinct in the wild . This reminded me of how it seemed not to long ago that the black rhino went extinct in the wild I remeber the sadness i felt when i had heard that and made a mental note to do some rhino art, but never was satisfied with what did come up with and so it kinda got shoved to the backburner of my brain...anyways I started fiddling around, this is a combo kind of showing a progression of what i've done so far....
I may do some portraits of other extinct and or endangered animals, will see. still not completely satisfied with my grasp on rhino anatomy...there face shape is so...unique
